What guarantee
do we get that our merchandize will be on time?
Since 2 years Priyanka's has been an on line shop.1000's of
satisfied clients all over the world rely on Priyanka's. This is a
tough question to reply to. However we have found the following way
to convince you.
The results of our sales in the last 2 years is given below:
Until March 1999,
89% Deliveries were successful and well in time
6.5% deliveries were delayed for the reason being that clients were
never at home when the courier company knocked on their doors with
the delivery. This section also includes wrong address by client or
courier company.
2.5% Late deliveries from Priyanka's due to unavoidable circumstance
such as festival holidays, fabric rejection, custom problems,
quality control rejects the outfit at the last minute.
0.5% Client's order did not reach us due to mail server problem /
web page problem.
0.5% deliveries were kept on hold for investigation issue and
finally we found that the clients were right and our observation was
wrong.
1% Due to various other reasons.
From April 1999 to
February 2000
Being our second year things had improved and the results are as
follows:
93% Deliveries successful and on time
3% deliveries delayed for the reason being that clients were never
at home when courier company knocked on their doors with the
deliveries. This also includes wrong address by client or
courier
1% Late deliveries from Priyanka's due to unavoidable circumstance
such as festival holidays, fabric rejection, custom problems,
quality control rejects the outfit at last minute.
1% Client's order did not reach us due to mail server problem / web
page problem.
(This ratio increased due to an error made by
one of our trainee staff in early 2000 whereby we lost all mail
which was sent offline and we were receiving all the mails that were
submitted via the site.)
1.5% deliveries were kept on hold for investigation and finally we
found that the client was right and our observation was wrong.
(This ratio also increased due to a few bad
experiences and thereafter we became more choosy.)
0.5% Due to various other reasons.
At this stage this is all we have to
say to answer your question. It will be our pleasure to continue the
debate on such matters whereby we may get some timely help from you
to convince you.

How long does it take
to ship the ordered garments ?
Normally, we require 10 to 12
days to ship a merchandize. The shipping period can increase mainly
as a result of two probable events:
A. If it includes hand work such as embroidery, zardosi, etc.
B. When the order is placed during festivals such as Diwali, Holi,
etc., or even the summer vacation period.
All our deliveries are made via
1st class courier company and 90% of it is through DHL.. They take a
minimum 3 to 4 days and in some cases also five days to reach you. We suggest that if your order is relevant to any specific occasion
and you are in hurry, then please consult us before you place the
order.
What happens if I do
not like the merchandize ?
If you report your dissatisfaction
within two weeks from receiving the merchandize, we offer you a free
replacement with the same outfit and we will ask no questions
whatsoever. You also do not have to pay any additional shipping
charges. But you will have to bear the small cost of sending
the merchandize back to us by normal post. If you wish to
order any other merchandize in replacement, we apologize that we do
not accept any such requests as it is given clearly on your order
form that there is no error on your behalf when placing the order.
We also do not accept it if the merchandize has been used. However
it is usually too late for us when we do come to know that it is a
replacement has taken place. In fact the replacement usually happens
well before we receive the old merchandize. All we can do thereafter
is report it to our merchandiser and rank such client as hi-alert.
Can you send us Paper
Catalogs ?
Unfortunately since we do not posses
any form of paper catalogs, we are unable to fulfill this request.
The reason for this is that we are always adding new designs and
patterns and it will be difficult and inconvenient for us to update
the paper version of our catalog.
I'd like to know if
you have anything similar to what Juhi Chawla wears in
Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani. It's an outfit worn in the
song Tera Jogi. It's a short blue/gray embroidered
dress with parallels embroidered at the bottom.
You may or may not be aware that one
out of every five outfits used in Bollywood has been and continues
to be contributed by Priyanka's. We used to offer prices for such
outfits in the past but we realized that such orders do not take
place unless we send the photographs to clients. In a few trial
cases we arranged for the photographs but 50% clients said that they
already had another outfit in mind and the remaining 50% claimed
that their budget did not support the order. Because of this we
insist that all such inquiries be made along with the
photograph and approximate estimated buying budget you have in your
mind.
I am afraid to place
my credit card detail over the web ?
Well up till now not a single such
case has been reported by us in the last two years wherein our
clients have had any problems. At the same time we also do not offer
any sort of guarantee as you may be aware recently Bill Gates'
credit card details was hacked by a U.K. based 17 year old boy. When
your credit card details is dealt with by a secure server such a
ratio is .0000001%. As far as we are concerned such circumstances
can never occur as CCNow does not give us the credit card details.
All they inform us about is just the first 4 digit code of the
client for our future analysis.
In the above scenario we strongly
believe that our entire life involves risks. If you are so
determined to view every thing with a negative attitude, certainly
you will be loosing the opportunity to enjoy today's modern
technical progress. We recommend that you go ahead and not think
about it. Even if something is wrong fight it to convey your message
to others and trust in us. You will find that Priyanka's is your
nearest to co-operative friends.
I am not very
confident as it is my 1st buy over the internet ?
It is Priyanka's recommendation to
every net buyer - you must handle your own research before you
proceed but do not ignore it as over a period of time you will come
to realize that it is a gateway whereas others find just the
subway.
